Leslie A. Elementary Education-loves to make learning fun!

Aspergers
My son, age 23, has Aspergers. I have read many books on the subject and attended some conferences. I have also had several integrated special needs students with the diagnosis of Aspergers in my classroom. In fact, last year I had two little boys with Aspergers. Loved them to death!

ADD/ADHD
Both my son and husband have ADHD. I have been working in a public school for over 28 years and every year there is at least one child who displays ADHD characteristics, with or without the official diagnosis. I know they need lots of breaks, learn best by first having an educator identify their best learning modality and then use that modality during instruction. I also was one of the editors of a book about non-drug treatments for ADHD.
